Joey Evans is a KTM inspirational speaker who has been travelling around the globe, motivating people to pursue their passion regardless of any obstacle ahead. Although he is himself a paraplegic, Joey Evans defeated what many believed to be an obstacle that would finish his hopes of leading an adventurous life.

The hardy athlete proved his naysayers wrong and then some. In addition to finishing the Dakar Rally in 2017, he has also completed several marathons and ultra-marathons. He has also hiked the fish river canyon, finished the Roof of Africa hard Enduro, raced in the Botswana Desert 1000. He also holds the unique record of being the only South African biker to complete the 2017 Dakar Rally.

Joey is another shining example of what the human spirit is capable of, only if you unshackle it from perceptions of physical disability.

That’s not all. Joey Evans has also raced and ridden his dirt bike throughout South Africa and 15 more countries. His book, “From Para to Dakar”, reads his motivating journey towards finishing Dakar, which was not without its challenges spread over ten years. In Joey’s own words, “I’ve realized that when things are really tough and there seems no hope for the future, it’s sometimes just Chapter One of a really cool story, and the ending is entirely up to you.”
