A newly-spotted KTM Adventure test mule has fans excited, as it could be the new 390 Adventure. Spotted testing abroad, the KTM Adventure motorcycle features typical rally-inspired styling, sporting a single-cylinder engine, raising the question — is this the new KTM 390 Adventure? If indeed yes, here’s what to expect.
2024 KTM 390 Adventure – Design
The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure will be based on the same platform as the new 390 Duke, a trellis frame with an aluminium subframe. This, along with the off-set rear shock enables KTM to offer more ground clearance on the Adventure while still keeping the seat height accessible.
The spy images show typical adventure styling with an upright seating position, long travel suspension, and a windscreen with integrated headlights, a design similar to the newly launched 990 Duke and the 1390. Also, the high front fender is new, which gives the motorcycle a rally-inspired look.

2024 KTM 390 Adventure – Engine specifications
The upcoming 390 Adventure will use the same 399cc single-cylinder that powers the Duke. The engine has seen an increase in stroke, giving it more displacement and power compared to the previous-gen’s 373cc engine. This 399cc mill is capable of producing 45.3bhp of power and 39nm torque. The 390 Adventure will get a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter.

2024 KTM 390 Adventure – Features and equipment
Based on the pictures, the 390 Adventure will get adjustable long-travel USD forks, an off-set rear shock, spoke wheels, LED lighting, a TFT dash, disc brakes at both ends and dual-purpose tyres.
On the electronics front, the new 390 Adventure should get the entire package from the 390 Duke, which includes lean-sensitive ABS, Traction Control, ride modes, phone connectivity, and more, while it could skip the launch control option.
